This is probably the oldest form of cultivated Rosa Gallica. It was used by the Romans to make perfumes, wine to the rose and its healing properties (officinalis). It has large reddish halo flowers and is very fragrant. The flowering is abundant and creates a beautiful color spot. Expanding bush that emits pollens. Used very often in the gardens of historic villas as a low bordura.
